With the summer transfer window coming up, several names are being sounded out by Real Madrid to reinforce the squad. Most recently, Dani Olmo has rised on the agenda.

Real Madrid’s interest was first reported by Spanish outlet ‘Relevo’, the article stated that Real Madrid have asked about the Spaniard and are monitoring his situation. The interest is now confirmed by Fabrizio Romano and AS.
With AS’ article, there is a twist, and it’s that his arrival depends on if Marco Asensio will leave or not. Asensio’s fate is currently not confirmed, the player’s contract ends this summer and he has not yet reached an agreement to extend it.
Real Madrid must comply with the RFEF Spanish players quota and what that means is that Real Madrid must have at least 8 Spanish players in their squad. Asensio, Ceballos & Nacho’s situations are all uncertain so it’s understandable that Real Madrid are beginning to target Spanish players.
Dani Olmo has received interest from other teams too, so we will have to wait to see if Real Madrid will go for him or if it is just casual interest. In any way, Dani Olmo is an interesting target.
