Following the painful setback in the Champions League Semifinal, Real Madrid is already planning for the future season. Los Blancos‘ backup to Karim Benzema has been a significant issue this season; the Frenchman hasn’t had the ideal season owing to injury. Mariano Diaz, Benzema’s backup, is not reliable. Although Rodrygo Goes did well in that position when Carlo Ancelloti tried him earlier this season, it is clear that Real Madrid lacked a striker to help Karim Benzema. Real Madrid is allegedly interested in signing Joselu.
According to the Spanish site Relevo, Real Madrid been aware of the Spanish international Joselu for serval months. Joselu fits the club’s ideal profile just well. In line with Madrid’s original strategy, he would also be a reasonably priced addition. Being familiar with numerous team members would make it easy for him to adjust to the demands or the locker room. He would also be willing to assume the backup role for Karim Benzema.
Additionally announced last night at the Spanish show El Chiringuito De Jugones, Josep Pedrerol reportedly stated that Real Madrid would bring in a striker to act as Karim Benzema’s backup.
The Spanish player played for Castilla for two seasons were he was the leading scorer in 2011–12 with 24 goals. Joselu’s goal-scoring explosion happened during his two years with Real Madrid Castilla, where he only played in second devision. Jose Mourinho gave him the chance and Joselu managed also scored on his debut.
