The star midfielder asked to be substituted during Real Madrid’s 1-0 win over Getafe on Saturday evening in the 84th minute, raising concerns amongst the Real Madrid fanbase.
Camavinga appeared to have twisted his knee in a duel against a Getafe opponent.
Carlo Ancelotti provided reassurance: “Camavinga has just a knock to his left knee, he is young and he will recover fast. I think all players will be ready for the game vs Manchester City. The starting line-up is decided, I have no doubts.”
Ancelotti added: “Camavinga’s knee is stable. 100%. There’s a bit of pain but it’s NOTHING. He will rest tomorrow and will return in training on Monday.”
This morning, the reliable Jose Luis Sanchez and Arancha Mobile reported that Camavinga has no serious injury following scans and will be able to play vs Manchester City without any problems.
This is certainly very positive news as the fan favourite has been one of Carlo Ancelotti’s most trusted players since the World Cup and had an excellent performance vs Manchester City in the 1st leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.
