Aurélien Tchouaméni is going through a rough situation with Real Madrid at the moment. The Frenchman was a guaranteed starter pre World Cup but since the competition in Qatar has ended, his situation has changed.
Tchouaméni returned to Madrid after the World Cup with what seems to be confidence issues after losing the final against Argentina and missing a penalty. In addition, the player went through injury issues due to playing almost every game at the World Cup with minimal resting days between matches.
The result of this situation was rumors from England speaking about an interest from Liverpool in the player. Liverpool’s head coach Jürgen Klopp is a massive fan of Tchouaméni and tried to sign him last summer but the player favored Real Madrid as soon as he heard about their interest.
Amidst these rumors, reliable French journalist Santi Aouna published that Tchouaméni is not thinking about leaving Los Blancos and wants to succeed at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Today, Relevo journalist Jorge Picon has confirmed the news saying that Tchouaméni accepts the challenge of fighting to regain his starting position and has no intention to leave Real Madrid.
As published in an article here yesterday, Tchouaméni is in a transition phase and it’s very normal for a player even with Aurélien’s abilities to go through a situation like this in his 1st season at Real Madrid.
Tchouaméni’s close friend and teammate Eduardo Camavinga went through a similar situation last season and ended up overcoming it.
Aurélien Tchouaméni will stay at Real Madrid and fight for his place, leaving is not on the agenda. Real Madrid regard him as an important piece for the present and future of the club.
